R Kelly memang hebat. Dirinya mampu membuat rangkaian kata dan nada menjadi sebuah harmoni sempurna dengan mengusung tema cinta yang universal. 'You Are Not Alone' oleh The X Factor UK Finalists 2009 memberikan sebuah kesan dan pesan baru lagi ke dalam lagu yang originalnya dinyanyikan oleh Michael Jackson ini. Versi X Factor ini pastinya terdengar lebih ramai, 18 vokalis dalam 12 nama menyanyikannya menjadi sebuah lagu pop ballad dengan perfect choir di chorus terakhirnya.
Kalau amal tahun lalu adalah Help for Heroes yang bertujuan menyediakan fasilitas yang lebih baik bagi veteran di Inggris. Nah, tahun ini sasaran amalnya adalah Great Ormond Street Hospital, rumah sakit khusus anak yang sudah berdiri sejak 1852. Penjualan dari single ini nantinya disumbangkan seluruhnya untuk RS tersebut.
'You Are Not Alone' hanya tersedia dalam single, bukan album. Tapi dalam single ini disediakan 2 versi. Versi pertama adalah versi single yang dibuat dalam video juga. Mereka menggunakan orchestra sebagai background musiknya, sedangkan untuk versi kedua, stripped version, lagu ini lebih bersahaja hanya dengan iringan piano dan biola.
Sejauh ini, single 'You Are Not Alone' mencatat prestasi seperti single sebelumnya, menempati posisi pertama di UK Singles Chart, dan masih diharapkan mampu untuk meraih penjualan lagi agar lebih banyak yang bisa disumbangkan bagi Great Ormond Street Hospital. Video klip untuk lagu ini menampilkan semua finalis X Factor tahun ini, menyanyi dan mengunjungi rmah sakit anak-anak untuk menghibur mereka, bercerita ataupun menjadi badut.
