Nah, maka dari itu kesempatan untuk lebih banyak mendengarkan AJ McLean dalam album Have It All yang awal rilisnya di Jepang sejak Januari lalu ini adalah sesuatu yang sangat menggembirakan bagiku. Selanjutnya, Label AJ di Indonesia memilih I Quit sebagai single pertama dari album tersebut untuk dipromosikan. I got the idea of it. Mereka menginginkan AJ tampil bebas sebagai diri sendiri, tanpa embel-embel BSB lagi. Nyatanya, lagu I Quit adalah salah satu lagu yang mencerminkan hal itu.
I Quit intinya adalah lagu pop alternatif yang terinspirasi akan sound retro dengan terompet dan piano yang dikondisikan sangat 70'an. Secara lirik agu ini adalah penggambaran kemarahan atas pernyataan berakhirnya suatu hubungan. Di beberapa blog yang aku search, di bagian akhir liriknya tercantum "You b**ch!" yang sepertinya untuk versi albumnya telah diedit alias dihabisi alias ditiadakan. Dan di verse ke-2 kata 'F**king stupid'-pun diganti. Wah, segitu emosinya lagu ini ya? Hmm... Did this song get you, people? I do hope so!
