Banyak hal asyik jika 2 nama sudah jadi satu dalam sebuah karya. Rapper keturunan Kuba Pitbull mengajak penyanyi keturunan Senegal, Akon untuk mengerjakan Shut It Down, single dari album Pitbull yang berjudul Rebelution. Kalau 2 lagu terdahulu dari Pitbull bernuansa Latin, maka kali ini nuansanya adalah hingar bingar diskotik. Non-stop beat, house music, on fire rap, ditambah hook 'ooh..ooh...ooh...' darinya Akon membuat kita enggak mau berhenti goyang ataupun sekedar angguk-angguk selagi mendengarkan lagunya.
Yang norak di lagu ini juga ada. Pertama adalah penyebutan semua credit yang ada. Mr.305, Akon, DJ Snake, hayo silahkan semua pada disebutin di awal lagu. Kedua dalah terlalu banyak kata-kata yang tidak senonoh. Ya bisa jadi karena banjir kata-kata 'mutiara' tersebut makanya album Rebelution sendiri dilabel Advisory Parental. Tapi kalau untuk goyang, lagunya juara! Nah, kalau sudah asyik begini, siapa yang enggak mau ajak Akon untuk kerjasama, coba?!
