Dari intro aja sudah ketahuan kalau lagu ini adalah hasta karya will.i.am . Tapi weits, tunggu dulu, karena sebenarnya ini adalah milik Usher yang menampilkan will.i.am di dalamnya. It's a typical club ready song, beat yang dipakai menimbulkan kesan lagu ini emang diperuntukkan bagi kenikmatan berjoget ria di atas lantai dansa. Ciri will.i.am sangat menonjol disini, sehingga menyebabkan kita berfikir ini adalah salah satu bahan dari The E.N.D. Usher takluk pada kekuatan ciri will.i.am tadi.
Sebenarnya gampang untuk menyukai lagu ini, karena dari judulnya kita juga diajak untuk surprise. Usher juga sebelumnya mendedikasikan musiknya pada R&B beat, dan kini he's playing some DJ beat. Selain itu, ada hook yang memorable disini. Terlebih saat bagian "oh, oh, oh, oh" dinyanyikan oleh kerumunan orang. Seperti lagu anthem fans sepakbola jadinya. Tapi aku kehilangan vokal seksi Usher disini, karena format auto-tuned vocal yang digunakan meminimalisir dinamisme vokalnya Usher. That's too bad.
Video untuk lagu ini sudah disyut awal Maret lalu dan disutradarai oleh Anthony Mandler. Premirnya juga sudah dilaksanakan di akhir Maret. Kamu bisa menyaksikan Usher yang membentuk huruf O dari asap rokok di videonya. Sejauh ini single OMG lumayan bagus tampil di chart. Sudah berada di Top 20 untuk Billboard Hot 100 Singles, dan masih berjuang untuk posisi yang lebih baik lagi. Sedangkan di UK nasibnya lebih baik karena sudah masuk ke 10 besar. Kita tunggu momennya hingga kita benar-benar mengatakan 'Oh My Gosh!' pada single ini nanti.
