Memiliki kecenderungan mirip dengan single sebelumnya, 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart', Alicia Keys mencoba untuk membuat album 'The Element of Freedom' happening lagi lewat single berikutnya yaitu 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)' yang sudah menyerbu radio dan televisi sedari April. Dentuman drum yang berulang-ulang dari awal hingga akhir lagu yang paling membuat lagu ini berkesan. Dan Miss Keys memadukannya dengan permainan piano. Kondisi standar sekaligus terbaiknya.
Un-thinkable ini mengisahkan tentang meningkatkan hubungan ke tingkat berikutnya. Ini ditandai dengan beberapa lirik yang menjurus pada tujuan tersebut, seperti "it's becoming something that's impossible to ignore", "this is exactly how it should feel", dan juga "won't you come be in the sky with me". Tergolong berani untuk ungkapan dari seorang cewek. Untuk versi album, lagu ini menampilkan sedikit penampilan rapper Drake sebagai penyanyi latar. Minim sih kedengaran suara Drake-nya, seperti 'You should say right now' di penghabisan verse pertama. Dan untuk memperbesar penampilan Drake, lagu ini diremix dengan tambahan rap di awal lagunya. Durasinya nambah sekitar 30 menitan, pokoknya jadi lebih berwarna dech.
Video klip untuk lagu ini sudah ditayangkan lewat VEVO dan BET di pertengahan Mei disutradarai oleh Jake Nava yang baru pertama ini menangani videonya Keys. Miss Keys tampil sangat cantik disitu. Dan bintang video klipnya adalah Chad Michael Murray. Inilah saatnya untuk menyaksikan videonya sekaligus menikmati single hari ini, 'Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)'.
