Sebuah electropop yang ramah synth dan beat yang menghentak sempurna adalah gambaran umum dari 'Poison', single terbaru yang ditampilkan Nicole Scherzinger. Lagu penuh enerji ini adalah hasil ciptakan Nicole Scherzinger dan diproduseri oleh produser kenamaan Nadir Khayat alias RedOne. Ini adalah langkah baru bagi Nicole untuk mencapai kesuksesan berkarir sendiri, di luar The Pussycat Dolls.
RedOne selaku produser lagu ini sangat yakin akan kesuksesan yang akan 'Poison' raih, dengan mengatakan bahwa orang-orang akan tergila-gila pada Nicole. "Orang-orang akan menyukainya, benar-benar Nicole!", kata produser yang sudah mengangkat nama Lady Gaga pada puncak kesuksesan ini. Nicole pun berpendapat bahwa bekerjasama dengan RedOne adalah sebuah kebanggaan dan sangat berterima kasih atas kesempatan yang tersedia baginya.
Video musik untuk 'Poison' sudah ditayangkan di YouTube sejak akhir Oktober lalu, menampilkan Nicole dalam balutan setelan ketat berwarna putih dan juga hitam, melakukan aksi bela diri, menaiki sepeda motor, menyanyi, menari, dan sebagainya. Seksi dan bergaya. Nicole punya segalanya.
Akan sangat menarik melihat balapan perilisan single dari Nicole dengan setiap mantan member The Pussycat Dolls, dimana masing-masing dari Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, dan Jessica Sutta berturut-turut mengeluarkan karya atas nama pribadi dan mengungkapkan bahwa mereka juga punya bakat yang selama dalam grup tidak sempat terekspos.
