Ingat bagaimana Pink dulu pernah mengiba lewat single 'Please Don't Leave Me'? Lagu yang secara nyata sebuah curhatan itu kini punya semacam sekuelnya, yang juga mengharuskan seorang Pink begging lewat nyanyiannya. Adalah single 'F--kin' Perfect' yang berasal dari album kompilasi "Greatest Hits...So Far!!" yang menjadi Artist Highlight kita Januari ini. Pink berkumpul lagi bersama Max Martin dan Shellback dalam mengkreasikan lagu ini, setelah sebelumnya nge-set double hit 'So What' dan 'Raise Your Glass'. Kalau di dua lagu hit itu kita disuguhkan musik yang enerjik dan ceria, yang ini lebih slow temponya.
Banyak yang bilang seharusnya Pink mendahulukan lagu ini dibanding 'Raise Your Glass' sebagai single andalan dari album kompilasinya, karena lagu ini memang mendefenisikan Pink secara sempurna. Bagaimana vokal khasnya bisa mengakomodir sound pop rock yang mengiringi. Kita lebih bisa menikmati moments of her vocal lewat lagu kayak gini. Dan yang paling penting, permainan emosi yang diciptakan Pink luar biasa natural. Maklumlah, lagu ini memang inspirasi dari kehidupan cintanya dengan Carey Hart, yang meskipun pasang surut, tapi masih tetap dipertahankan.
Lagu ini mengajari bagaimana kita bisa melihat sesuatu itu apa adanya. Intinya yaitu acceptance.
