Miranda Cosgrove is such a sweet girl. Cewek 17 tahun yang ngetop akibat serial TV Nickelodeon ini mulai nyaman dengan keberadaannya sebagai seorang penyanyi. Setelah sebuah album dirilisnya tahun lalu dan menjalankan serangkaian tur poro untuk album tersebut, masih disempatkannya untuk merilis single 'Dancing Crazy' yang adalah sebuah lagu hasil ciptaan Max Martin, Shellback, dan Avril Lavigne. Dengan keberadaan Avril disini, lagu berdurasi 3 menit 40 detik tersebut menjadi sesuatu yang memiliki kemiripan dengan ciri pop rock chick-nya Avril dalam 'Girlfriend'.
Ini kali kedua cewek iCarly ini merilis single. Dan sejauh ini dia hanya berada dalam kondisi OK, yang artinya tidak spektakuler tapi juga tidak mengenaskan. Lagu girly ini seharusnya bisa menjadi hit seperti Miley Cyrus dengan 'Party In The USA', karena memang bisa banget dinikmati dalam alunan musik dan lirik yang meremaja. Tapi herannya hingga kini single tersebut masih kurang stand out.
Bagian yang paling aku suka dari lagu ini adalah setiap kali ada "snap!". Secara magis membuat ikut-ikutan menjentikkan jari. Kalau untuk vokalnya, Miranda punya corak vokal yang manis dan santai, cocok untuk membawakan lagu-lagu riang seperti ini. Lagu cinta ABG beginian yang memang pantas dibawakan oleh performer seusia dirinya.
Oh ya, 'Dancing Crazy' diambil dari EP "Highly Maintenance" yang berisi 5 buah lagu baru, dimana track berjudul 'Highly Maintenance' itu sendiri diciptakan oleh Miranda bareng Rivers Cuomo. Tuch kan, cewek ini semakin lama semakin serius menjajal kemampuannya di bidang musik, dan semoga karirnya semakin lama semakin naik, meskipun dilalui dengan cara merangkak.
