Banyak yang bilang bakat tahun ini melebihi bakat-bakat yang berkompetisi di musim-musim sebelumnya. Dan awal putaran final ini akan membuktikannya. Seperti yang Simon selalu bilang, "It's either make you or break you". Dengan tema idola para peserta, inilah American Idol.

ST: “Gotta have a good song, I wished it had been more kick ass”

RJ: “That’s a cool song, you sang it well…we want to see something that makes you shine beyond belief.”

RJ: “I liked it. It sounded like a safe move, but I liked it. You grew as a singer. You did yourself some good with that.”

JL: “You’re so elegant up there. But, I want to start seeing you sing songs that we can sing along with you. I think you are amazing.”
AI: Jika kalian butuh saran untuk membuat sebuah lagu indah menjadi sesuatu yang sangat terkesan sampah, tanya kepada Ashton Jones dan versinya untuk 'When You Tell Me That You Love Me'. JL: “You’re so unique. You moved the crowd. I hope America gets it. I don’t know Ryan Adams and that song.”
RJ: “After last week’s performance, it wasn’t the most exciting thing. I love the character. I get it I hope America gets it.”

ST: “That was the sum of all your performances so far.” He wishes Pia a happy International Women’s Day. “You just polished that apple. You just slammed it. That was beautiful.”

ST: “You have taken everything you’ve ever felt and kicked it into next week.”
JL: “You have such a quality. You have what the greatest rock singers have. You’re melodic.”

RJ: “I like that you can do anything. But it was a little sleep and a little boring.”
AI: Akui saja, Randy. Dirimu enggak suka sama Haley Reinhart. I LOVE HER PERFORMANCE THIS WEEK! Sama seperti yang Jimmy Iovine bilang, enggak sembarang orang bisa nyanyi lagu ini. I love the song, I love LeAnn Rimes, and I love her performance! (9/10)
Jacob Lusk – “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly – producer Rodney Jerkins
ST: “Pure passion, pure music, I can’t even judge it.”
JL: “You make us feel so much when you sing. It’s anybody’s game. You’re at the top of the list.”
RJ: “When you start, you have such a signature sound. You kinda went sharp, but by the end, you hit those high notes. I’m excited every time you hit the stage.
AI: Baiklah, ini mungkin akan jadi komentar yang kasar. Aku suka lagunya, aku suka aransemennya yang modern. Hanya saja, jeritannya semakin lama semakin mengerikan. Personal taste. Semoga American Idol tidak menjadi mimpi buruk. (6/10)
Thia Megia – “Smile” by Michael Jackson (his version) – producer Ron Fair
RJ: “I loved the intro, it was so beautiful, I heard Michael, a little Adele. All in all it was good. I loved the beginning more than the end.”
ST: "I got to agree. A little pitchy in the middle there. But you’re so young. Overall I liked it.”
JL: “The beginning reminded me a little bit of last week. I thought the arrangement was interesting. Doesn’t matter, you sing like an angel."
AI: Coba lihat gaunnya, seperti yang dipakai sama New Directions di sectionals musim 2 Glee. Bagian pertama jauh lebih enak didengar dari bagian kedua. Penampilan Thia Megia seperti odong-odong, if you know what I mean. (5/10)

RJ: “It started off a little rocky for me. Stevie is so hard to sing. He’d be proud. You slayed it. Very nicely done.”
AI: Kalau saja ini lagu tidak populer, dengan aransemen demikian mungkin banyak yang akan menyangka ini adalah lagu Donna Summer. I like it, but don't love it. (8/10)
Karen Rodriguez – “I Could Fall In Love” by Selena – producer Jim Jonsin
JL: “For me, I could tell you were a little uncomfortable with the notes. You’re one of our strongest girls, I hope you make it to next week.”
RJ: “It felt like you were fighting the song. It was a little sleepy for me. It didn’t quite come off for me.”
ST: “It was lacking a little bit. I know you can sing so much better.”
AI: Ya ampun Karen, sadarilah dirimu adalah salah satu favoritku tahun ini. Tapi menonton penampilan ini sedikit banyak menyiksa. (6/10)

RJ: “If it ain’t broke, don’t even think about fixing it. That’s a great Garth Brooks song. Dude, this is exactly where you belong. Don’t change it. I love it.”

JL: “I saw you open up as a performer. You embraced the audience…your taking the audience on the ride with you. Congratulations.”
AI: Enggak ada komentar mengenai vokalnya, karena memang YGD; ya gitu dech. Kita lihat aja sejauh mana vokal YGD itu membawanya di American Idol ini. Kalau mau mencari yang beda dari Scotty McCreery, fokus pada cara tangannya memegang mic. (8/10)

RJ: “I differ with Jennifer. I care about the pitchiness. You’ve got to have the breath and the control. The cutoffs were a little rough. I loved the whole reggae thing.”

Saatnya prediksi. Melihat ke depan, agak susah untuk menentukan siapa yang akan ada di 3 terbawah, kecuali Ashton Jones. Karena dia pantas tersisih juga minggu jadi. Dan yang bisa jadi ada disana bersamanya adalah Karen Rodriguez, Paul McDonald, dan Haley Reinhart.
