Mendayu-dayu. Bukan itu lagi sebutan untuk seorang Colbie Caillat. Dirinya yang sukses membuat kita ikut merasakan setiap emosi dalam alunannya, kini mengajak kita untuk ikut bergoyang dalam melodi ceria single terbarunya, 'Brighter Than The Sun' yang sudah dirilis sejak 23 Mei yang lalu. Single ini adalah hasil kreasi Colbie Caillat dengan produser kondang, Ryan Tedder. Jadi enggak ragu kan dengan lagunya. Karena memang keduanya handal dalam penulisan lagu dan menampilkannya. Belum lagi ciri Ryan yang sangat terasa dalam beberapa beat di lagu ini, mengingatkan pada beberapa karya sebelumnya, seperti 'Good Life'. It's good. Karena punya benang merah dari setiap karya adalah sesuatu yang belum tentu dimiliki oleh setiap orang.
Apa yang dibawa dalam sebuah 'Brighter Than The Sun' adalah kegembiraan yang terpancar dari cerianya musik, juga lirik yang menggambarkan indahnya sebuah hubungan asmara. Ini memang kisah pribadi Colbie dengan sang kekasih, Justin Young, yang adalah pemain gitar di band pengiringnya. Suasana meriah juga dihadirkan dalam video musiknya. Disini Colbie tampil dengan sebanyak mungkin musisi, sebanyak mungkin orang yang goyang dengan iringan musiknya, dan sebanyak mungkin senyuman yang ikut membuat kita bahagia menyaksikannya.
Sebagai single kedua dari album ketiga, "All For You", lagu ini khusus dipilihkan Colbie untuk membuat para pendengar jadi penasaran pada apa yang akan disediakannya dalam albumnya nanti. Menarik bukan?! Yang lebih asyiknya dari 'Brighter Than The Sun' ini adalah kita enggak hanya diajak untuk ikut goyang bareng, tapi juga nyanyi bareng di bagian chorusnya. Lagunya memang persuasif. Membangkitkan gairah dan semangat!
