Beberapa hit besar dari Flo Rida seperti 'Sugar' dan 'Right Round' adalah lagu yang menggunakan sample dari lagu-lagu lawas yang dinyanyikan ulang oleh vokalis tamu. Kita memang harus ngasih credit atas keberhasilannya menggabungkan nuansa jadul dan modern dalam sebuah lagu yang kemudian seperti menjadi trademark bagi seorang Flo Rida. Maka dari itu, single terbarunya, 'Good Feeling' seharusnya bisa membuat kita punya pandangan serupa terhadap 2 single sukses sebelumnya. Dimana hasil penggabungan yang tercipta menjadi suatu kesatuan yang padu. Sayangnya, sampling yang dilakukan dari hit tahun 1962 milik Etta James, 'Something's Got A Hold On Me' tidak seberhasil itu dalam pencapaian rangkaian yang padu.
Sebutlah alasan utama pengambilan sample lagu di bagian "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah//I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no" dan diulang sebanyak 2 kali sebagai hook untuk lagu ini adalah penyesuaian dengan judul. Tapi ini justru bagian teraneh lagu yang kurang punya tautan dengan bagian rap lagunya. Disinilah sumber kegagalan tersebut tercipta. Hook-nya terlalu berbeda, sehingga sulit untuk menjadi bagian terkuat di lagunya. Belum lagi kenyataan bagian tersebut sulit untuk di-sing-along-kan. Seharusnya sih kita bisa lebih familiar dengan sampling tersebut. Karena belum lama lagunya dinyanyikan ulang di film dan untuk soundtrack "Burlesque". Dan sample-nya sendiri juga merupakan karya Avicii dari lagu 'Levels', bukan mengambil barang originalnya. Yang paling asyik adalah di lagu ini kita mendengar instrumen gitar di intro dan beberapa bagian lain.
'Good Feeling' merupakan single andalan dari album "Only One Rida (Part 2)" yang adalah sambungan dari album bagian pertama yang rilis tahun lalu. Albumnya dijadwalkan untuk rilis tepat di awal tahun depan, yaitu 1 Januari 2012. Dr. Luke, Avicii, dan Cirkut mengambil posisi sebagai produser di lagunya. Dirilis pada akhir Agustus lalu, video musiknya ditayangkan perdana di akhir Oktober. Dalam tampilan videonya, segala-gala hal yang bisa bikin kita punya good feeling seperti gadget, berlibur, olahraga, dan party dilakukan oleh Flo Rida. Lumayan sukses sih kalau dilihat dari penampilan chart-nya. Masuk di Top 20 Billboard chart berikut Top 10 di Kanada, Australia, dan beberapa negara di Eropa. Pantas sih, musiknya asyik. Meskipun samplingnya tetap terasa gagal.
