Saya melupakan bahwa Bridge of Light milik P!nk ini merupakan bagian dari soundtrack sebuah film animasi, Happy Feet 2. Tentu saja tema yang diusung merupakan ranah kekuasaan sang badass queen. Dia telah bertransformasi sehingga mampu mengusung jajaran emosi yang digunakan untuk menghargai diri sendiri. Terlepas dari semua kekurangan, siapa lagi yang akan menghargai dirimu sendiri?
Dimulai dengan suara piano, vokal P!nk perlahan-lahan bernyanyi dengan lirih. Mencari sebuah pembenaran dari apa yang dicari seseorang dalam hidup. Dilihat dari rumusnya, ini adalah balada yang penuh dengan makna. Dimana bagian terbaiknya ada di bagian bridge terakhir. Menyatukan keseluruhan ceritanya. Percepat playlist anda pada menit ke 2. 59 ketika vokal P!nk bersatu dengan barisan choir yang menjadi paduan suara. Emosinya juara!
Satu hal yang terasa pasti adalah ketajaman emosi yang diusung P!nk menjadi sedikit berbeda. Mungkinkah efek menjadi seorang ibu? Ketika di track-track terdahulu dia terdengar sangar, perkasa, tetapi di track ini di beberapa bagian dia terdengar lembut. Terutama di bagian akhir. Musik P!nk akan berubah? Bisa jadi, yang jelas di film ini dia akan menjadi salah satu pengisi suara tokoh yang bernama Gloria.
Mungkin anda perlu menyimak dulu film Happy Feet 2 yang rilis tanggal 22 November lalu bisa memaknai kedalaman emosi track ini. Tapi jauh sebelum itu, kala anda ingin sebuah track yang menenangkan dan penuh dengan aura positif, Pink berhasil membawakan makna itu pada track ini. Cheers!
