I can't wait for Harper to grow a little so she can have some. But the rest I'd like to put up for charity, I think it would be a fantastic thing to do," kata Victoria Beckham dalam konferensi pers "Viva Forever!". Hasil dari pelelangan ini akan disumbangkan ke Save The Children dan Children In Need.

Untuk iklan wewangian Avon, Jon Bon Jovi ber-Unplugged. Perusahaan Avon Products Inc. akan menggandeng frontman band Bon Jovi itu dalam iklan produk mereka, Unplugged for Her dan Unplugged for Him. Perusahaan tersebut menyatakan bahwa inspirasi dari kedua wewangian ini adalah perasaan tersendiri saat mendengarkan lagu kesayangan, dengan tujuan hubungan yang emosional. Versi ceweknya akan mulai dijual pada bulan Oktober, dan versi laki-lakinya di bulan November.

Band rock Deftones tengah terburu-buru mengerjakan album mereka supaya bisa dirilis di bulan Oktober. "It's not a super fast or slow record. It's very dynamic. Some of my favorite things about Deftones are the dynamics. Yes, we're a heavy band, but we're not just in-your-face aggro the whole time, punching you in the face. There's a lot of aggression in some of the music, but there's also this very soothing element where there's a lot of soundscapes rather than attack, attack, attack the whole time. I understand that's a big part of our sound, but I really feel like we reached a peak on our dynamics on this record with those two qualities -- the beauty of something and just straight, ruthless aggression," terang Chino Moreno, frontman band tersebut. Meskipun berpacu dengan waktu, album ini belum sempat mereka kasih judul. Dan dalam pengerjaannya, Deftones dibantu oleh produser Nick Raskulinecz.

Vokalis dari duo rock Girls, Christopher Owens memutuskan untuk keluar dari band. Keputusannya ini dipostingnya pada Senin pagi, 2 Juli lalu, lewat Twitter. "Dear all, This may come as a surprise to many & has been an issue of much thought for me. My decision was not easy to make. I am leaving Girls. My reasons at this time are personal. I need to do this in order to progress." Christopher dan Chet White membentuk Girls di San Fransisco saat berusia 16 tahun. Mereka telah menghasilkan 2 buah album studio dan 1 album mini, masing-masing di tahun 2009, 2011, dan 2010.

Eminem yang memang sedang melakukan pengerjaan album studio kedelapannya mengungkapkan kepada sebuah acara radio bahwa Dr. Dre akan tetap muncul dalam album tersebut. "Yeah, of course he'll be involved. I usually get going and kind of start going a certain direction and just record what I'm feeling. Then I'll go see Dre and fill in some of those pieces." Album ini belum memiliki jadwal perilisan. Jadi mari kita tunggu bersama-sama.

Lebih pasti adalah jadwal rilis album runner-up American Idol tahun ini, Jessica Sanchez. Melalui Interscope Records, album debutnya akan rilis di bulan Oktober. Jessica kini tak hanya punya kesibukan tur musim panas bersama 9 finalis idol lainnya, tapi juga rekaman untuk albumnya itu. Menurut The Hollywood Reporter, album ini akan punya rasa urban, jenis musik yang para kritikus musik bilang paling pas untuk gadis 16 tahun ini. Tapi apakah ini yang diinginkan oleh Jessica? “I want to do pop, but, like, just a sprinkle of it, not a whole bucket,” katanya kepada MTV.

Untuk album soundtrack film Sparkle yang menampilkan Jordin Sparks dan mendiang Whitney Houston akan dirilis akhir bulan ini. Tepat di 31 Juli, album berisi 11 track ini dirilis, menampilkan lagu-lagu yang dinyanyikan oleh Jordin, Whitney, juga Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Goapele, dan Tika Sumpter.
