Setelah sempat break merilis lagu sekitar 2 tahun, McFly akhirnya merilis single terbaru mereka, Love Is Easy pada 18 November 2012. Love is Easy adalah salah satu dari 3 lagu terbaru di album Memory Lane: The Best of McFly yang dirilis pada 26 November 2012. Single ini merupakan single pertama McFly yang diproduseri oleh member mereka sendiri, Danny Jones. Dalam lagu ini McFly menggunakan salah satu alat musik yang baru mereka gunakan, sebuah ukulele, yang diakui Tom Fletcher awalnya hanya ide iseng mereka. Dibuka dengan petikan ukulele dan vokal Tom, lagu ini langsung mengingatkan kita dengan ‘Old McFly’, jenis musik ketika McFly baru pertama eksis sesuai dengan album terbaru McFly yang merupakan kumpulan single McFly dari awal hingga sekarang, usia yang hampir mencapai satu dekade. Lagu ini menceritakan tentang ‘love is the easiest thing to do’, yang ditujukan untuk Galaxy Defenders, sebutan fans McFly.
Lagu ini dibawakan akustik hingga akhirnya konsep akustik ini memudar di pertengahan lagu, digantikan konsep full band, dengan tetap menggunakan ukulele. Love Is Easy merupakan salah satu single McFly yang paling catchy, easy listening dan simple, juga single yang paling special untuk fans McFly, karena lagu ini memang didedikasikan untuk mereka. Unik masuk dalam deretan kata yang menggambarkan lagu ini. Selain menggunakan ukulele untuk pertama kalinya, video ini juga memasukkan beberapa whistle yang sangat mudah diingat dan tak sadar sering membuat pendengarnya meniru, dan McFly memasukkan quote film It’s a Wonderful Life (1946).
Konsep video Love Is Easy juga sangat unik, sangat menggambarkan dedikasi McFly untuk fans. Video ini mengilustrasikan (semacam parody) perjalanan mereka sejak awal dan beberapa moment penting dalam karir McFly. Video yang di shoot di salah satu lokasi rahasia di London ini juga melibatkan banyak fans didalam video, dan diakhiri dengan statement “for the fans”.
