Come 26 January 2013, the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival arrives in Singapore for a third successive year. The festival moves from it’s previous home here in the greens of Fort Canning Park to the Pandora-like surroundings of the iconic Gardens by the Bay.
The Laneway Festival team prides in calling itself a boutique Festival, bringing the freshest and almost all-indie lineup. For a festival which ranks Foals, M83, Temper Trap and Feist amongs its alumni, the team has once again surprised it’s growing cult members with it’s line up this year.
From the psychedelic-rocking Tame Impala to the beachside pina-colada in hand tunes of acoustic duo Kings of Convenience, the festival promises an eclectic experience for everyone. With the likes of Kimbra and Gotye headlining, Laneway Festival Singapore is set to please beyond the usual hipster crowd.
Singapore, the only venue outside of Australia will kickstart the festival this year before it goes down under. With a setting amongst the Supertrees of the gardens and the city’s landscape overlooking, Laneway Festival Singapore 2013 promises a festival atmosphere unlike any other.
Put on your wayfarers & fedoras and head up to Singapore. Bring along the raincoat and wellies too just in case.
