Sejak bersama Rihanna dalam 'We Found Love', Calvin Harris menemukan dirinya menjadi most wanted producer and DJ to be working with. Maka dari itu, album ketiganya "18 Months" dipadati oleh artis top dari berbagai genre. Termasuk salah satunya Ellie Goulding yang menyajikan vokal untuk single 'I Need Your Love'. Electrohouse yang tercipta intensitas, tidak kurang dari porsi lagu-lagu garapan Calvin lainnya. Permainan tempo dan beat yang cerdas, menawarkan dinamika dalam durasi hampir empat menit.
Sebuah lagu cinta memang lebih menyentuh ketika disajikan dalam melodi indah yang meneduhkan. Tapi bukan berarti sentuhan tersebut tidak bisa disajikan oleh musik yang memburu. 'I Need You Love' punya keberhasilan tingkat tinggi ketika berhadapan dengan tantangan apakah makna dari lirik mampu memberi sentuhan emosional kepada para pendengar. Ini alasannya. Terlebih dengan kolaborasinya bersama Ellie yang menambah daftar "Siapa saja bisa bekerjasama dengan siapa saja".
Prestasi spesial buat Calvin Harris, dia berhasil mengalahkan rekor yang sebelumnya dipegang oleh Michael Jackson, yaitu punya 7 single yang masuk di Top 10 UK Singles Chart dari album "Bad" (1987) dan Dangerous (1991). Kini, Calvin Harris punya total 8 single di Top 10 UK Singles Chart dari album "18 Months". Congrats!
