Buat die hard fans, pembubaran Westlife terasa seperti neraka. Tapi ketika mereka mendengarkan program solo Shane Filan, bisa dijamin mereka mendapat kehidupan yang baru. Dan itulah yang dihembuskan oleh 'Everything To Me' ini. Dan atas segala daya upaya, Shane mencoba untuk menyajikan proyek solonya di luar ragam boyband-nya. Untuk itu, ia pantas mendapat acungan jempol.
'Everything To Me' adalah lagu yang fun, enggak menye-menye ataupun overdramatis. Musiknya organik, mid-tempo, semi akustik. Gaya pop Martin Terefe, sehingga sedikit banyak menyerempet pada citra musik Jason Mraz maupun James Morrison. Kenyataan bahwa Shane terlibat dalam penulisan lagu membuat single ini memiliki sekilas rasa personal, ketimbang menyerahkannya secara bulat-bulat kepada penulis lagu dan produser, sementara kontribusi hanya untuk urusan buka suara.
I give this song B+. Ada semangat yang membuncah dalam keterbatasan tempo, ada hal yang bisa dipercaya dalam iming-iming rayuan lirik. What matters most adalah ini lagu laki banget. Suer! Dan siapa peduli kebangkrutan yang ia pernah alami, single ini bisa membuatnya kembali menapak (terlalu muluk-muluk jika menulis ke puncak).
