Malcolm Kelly and Tony Oller is fine. Mereka bahkan super fine setelah merilis album debut mereka "MKTO" bersama Columbia Records. Sebuah pengalaman yang tak pernah disangka dari pemeran sebuah serial televisi Nickelodeon. Hal ini diperindah dengan kebolehan mereka dalam menggubah lagu untuk disajikan sebagai musik dari MKTO, termasuk 'God Only Knows', sebuah lagu pop rock mid-tempo yang bisa mencerahkan hari.
Efek paling nyata saat mendengarkan single ini adalah ia terdengar provokatif bagi pendengar untuk ikut-ikutan tepuk tangan sesuai dengan beat lagu. Dinamika lagu terwujud dalam naik turunnya irama yang terbagi dalam bagian-bagian lagu; verse, chorus, bridge. Kolerasi positif dipaparkan oleh lirik yang hanyut di gelombang irama. Hanya saja, penggunaan vokal Malcolm tak memberi kesempatan bagi Tony untuk unjuk gigi di single ini.
Seperti yang sebelum-sebelumnya, I'm not crazy over MKTO or their songs. Tapi tetap saja ada faktor yang membuat saya ingin tetap mendengar lagu mereka, khususnya yang satu ini. Adalah faktor "youth" yang ia miliki, menyeret pendengar untuk mendapatkan perasaan "fun" setiap kali mendapati lagu ini tengah dimainkan di pemutar musik. Semacam efek samping positif, konsekuensi yang tak terhindarkan.
