Duo pengusung Hip-hop asal Norwegia, Nico & Vinz, kembali dengan single terbaru mereka Am I Wrong yang ternyata cukup sukses di tangga lagu negara-negara Skandinavia. Terdiri atas Nico Sereba dan Vincent Dery, dulunya mereka bernama Envy, namun demi mempenetrasi pasar Amerika, dan tidak dibingungkan dengan band lain bernama sama, maka kemudian mengubah nama mereka menjadi, Nico & Vinz.

Am I Wrong sendiri pada dasarnya sebuah pop mid-tempo dengan unsur-unsur Hip-hop dan RnB. Sebuah lagu “galau” yang dihadirkan dalam beat yang mengentak, dan ini yang mungkin membuat banyak pendengarnya jatuh suka kepadanya. Aransemennya memadukan antara pop, rock, RnB dan juga reggae fusion. Perpaduan antara berbagai gaya inilah yang membuat lagu terdengar kaya. Ditambah lagi mereka menyanyikannya dengan cukup cantik dan aspiratif.

Tapi Am I Wrong juga bukan tentang kegalauan semata. Ia berbicara juga dalam scope self-empowerment yang cukup luas, apalagi jika kiita melihat lirik seperti Am I tripping for having ambition? / My prediction; I'mma be on the top of the world / Fight for yours and don't let go, don't let them compare you, no / Don't worry, you're not alone, that's just how we feel

Bolehlah kita sebut jika Am I Wrong merupakan sebuah lagu tentang ambisi dan cita-cita, yang harus ditekadkan dengan baik agar dapat tercapai maksud dan tujuannya. Dan duo Nico & Vinz boleh dipuji karena menyampaikannya dengan cara bernyanyi yang menarik dan juga pemilihan notasi lagu yang mudah dicerna.

Am I Wrong mungkin bukan lagu pop terbaik saat ini, akan tetapi ia memiliki kelebihan yang membuatnya cukup menonjol dan pada akhirnya mencuri perhatian.
