Come With Me Now sebenarnya sudah dirilis band asal Afrika Selatan, Kongos, di tahun 2012. Namun, tahun ini single ini bersinar lagi di Amerika dan menemukan momentumnya. Apa istimewanya sehingga single ini mencorong kembali?

Dengan memadukan rock alternatif dan irama etnik bernama kwaito, Come With Me Now terdengar sangar. Dengan pengecualian di bagian bridge, tepat di tengah lagu, tone tiba-tiba berubah menjadi mellow dan subtil, terdengar begitu menyentuh, sebelum kembali ke wujudnya semula.

Kwaito adalah subgenre yang memadukan antara jazz Afrika Selatan dengan pop dan house music barat. Well, tentunya kwaito bukan elemen utama dari lagu ini karena bagaimanapun rock masih menjadi kekuatan utama dari Come With Me Now. Didukung oleh vokal yang mendukung utnuk itu.

Yang mencolok memang penggunaan akordion sebagai aksentuasi lagunya. Dengan hadirnya instrumen klasik seperti ini kesan etnis tadi terdengar lebih tebal dan mendukung suasana subtil yang ingin dibangun Kongos di tengah gaharnya lagu. Dan iru berhasil.
