Mengambil sample dari karya klasik Simon & Garfunkel, lagu yang berat pengaruh reggae-nya ini penuh dengan keceriaan dan semangat, meskipun dalam lirik tersimpan makna yang hendak berkata sebaliknya. Seolah itu tak cukup, versi single-nya melibatkan Shawn Mendes, yang barang pasti semakin menguatkan pendapat pada ke-standout-an lagu ini.

Mengelupas lagu per bagian; verse dibangun sesak dengan kata, menuntut pelantun untuk vokus pada setiap penggalannya. Dengan tingkat kecepatan lumayan tinggi, di bagian ini perlakukan vokal bukan lagi tergolong menyanyi, melainkan menge-rap-kan lirik. Pre-chorus nyaris memegang titik puncak lagu ini. Killer hook terdapat disana sebagai puncak dari gegap gempita lagu. Untungnya chorus dipoles dalam beat yang sick. Perang antara hook dan beat secara mudah dimenangkan oleh beat. Dan seolah mengalah, bagian bridge melemah untuk memberi kesempatan bagi chorus terakhir berjaya hingga fade out menuntaskan lagu.

Dirilis di pergantian musim, 'Oh Cecilia' seolah tak rela summer pergi meninggalkan kita. Iba yang tercantum dalam lirik boleh diarahkan untuk menuju ke arah sana. Kebijakan The Vamps untuk mengajak serta Shawn Mendes yang sendirinya tengah meraup popularitas sendiri merupakan langkah tepat untuk memperkuat langkah di jalan terjal menuju level sukses yang lebih tinggi. Both Vamps and Shawn did awesome job in this very song.
