Sebelum album "Demi" merayakan ulang tahun keduanya, Demi Lovato merilis ulang album tersebut ke dalam format deluxe version dengan single terbaru, 'Nightingale' yang bukan merupakan track baru khusus untuk kamasan baru album. Lantas mengapa ia dirilis?
Alasan paling masuk akal adalah 'Nightingale' semata-mata guna menampilkan pesona lain terhadap album. Dari single-single sebelum ini, Demi kebanyakan menawarkan lagu pop beraroma poprock dan dancepop, sehingga jika ada satu kesempatan untuk memberi pesona ballad, mengapa tidak. It's the exact kind of ballad which empowering the strength of vocal to soar even higher. Effort ini hadir berdasarkan kolaborasi solid antara Demi dengan Anne Preven, Matt Radosevich, dan Felicia Barton.
Kelebihan lagu ini adalah liriknya yang magical. Oke, agak susah untuk menandingi ke-maha-an 'Let It Go' yang Demi bawakan untuk soundtrack "Frozen", tapi rangkaian kata dalam barisan kalimat yang dirajut rapi membetuk lagu ini berdaya magis, berlevel tinggi dari segi artistiknya. Multitafsir sangat mungkin terjadi, terserah pendalaman pendengar yang mau mengartikan lagu ini dari sudut mana. 'Nightingale' bisa jadi sangat romantis, sangat galau, sangat optimis, meskipun akan sangat sulit untuk menjadikannya terdengar logis. So what's your choice? Anything could happen here.
