Sex sales. Itu yang Nick Jonas akui saat mempromosikan musik untuk aksi solo karirnya di penghujung 2014 lalu. Kini ia berhasil menuai sukses untuk album studio "Nick Jonas" yang berpatokan pada pernyataannya tersebut, termasuk single 'Jealous' yang dirilis sebagai single kedua. Ditulis bersama Nolan Lambroza dan Simon Wilcox, sebenarnya evolusi musik Nick yang lebih penting daripada cara promosinya. Ia mengambil pengaruh dari Lionel Richie untuk kemudian membangun monumen pop bercorak R&B dan soul yang kokoh.

Dibantu oleh selera umum yang sedang menikmati irama urban, lagu ini sangat terbantu untuk mengklaim suksesnya. Hingga saat ini, 'Jealous' adalah single tersukses yang Nick punya. Bukan cuma Nick, tapi dari usaha solo setiap personel Jonas Brothers, ini adalah yang terbaik. Sadly, ini juga pembenaran dari pernyataan Nick bahwa seks benar adanya menjual.
