Released by: Sony Music Entertainment IndonesiaRasa-rasanya Little Mix belum pernah bicara cinta dalam rilisan single mereka, sampai akhirnya 'Black Magic' datang. Kini, dengan kehadiran single kedua 'Love Me Like You' dari album ketiga mereka "Get Weird", tampaknya semakin nyaman keempat gadis muda ini ini mengambil tema yang demikian. Dibopong oleh Steve Mac, juaranya musik pop UK yang karyanya banyak dinyanyikan oleh Boyzone, Westlife, Atomic Kitten, A1 dan juga The Saturdays, lagu bercorak 60-an ini merupakan pengalaman melankolis pertama LM yang disajikan sebagai single.
Mendapati musik yang terdengar begitu old school, lagu ini seolah datang dari jaman dahulu. Melodi di bagian chorus nyaris identik dengan hit lawas The Ronnettes, 'Be My Baby'. Patahan-patahan lirik membentuk melodi yang hampir serupa, menguatkan pesona retro yang lagu ini ingin gali dan tuangkan sebagai modal utamanya.
I love how LM so sync to one another. Vokal mereka nge-blend sempurna setiap kali diolah bersamaan. Tapi belakangan, kekuatan karakter masing-masing lenyap, terutama Perrie. Ia yang kita kenal sebagai vokalis termasyhur dalam grup ini kini tak setajam dulu. Tembakan-tembakan nada tingginya jarang terdengar. Improvisasi yang biasa ia tampilkan pun berangsur lenyap, meniadakan ledakan-ledakan sebagai unit kejutan dalam lagu. Tanpa itu, lagu terasa mudahnya untuk jadi membosankan.
Dalam 'Love Me Like You' ini, run vokal yang Perrie coba beri, begitu pula Jade, terdengar begitu minimalis. Kurang menggigit, kurang berapi seperti 'Change Your Life' atau 'Little Me'. Sangat disayangkan jikalau peredaman karakter pribadi ini guna keharmonisan grup. Karena mereka pasti bisa menyeimbangkan antara keduanya. Lagipula, karakter pribadi bukan lantas bentuk keegoisan.
