Seperti 'She Looks So Perfect' yang demikian perkasa memborbardir chart, radio, dan juga televisi. Dengan level entertainment yang tinggi, album kedua band 5SOS "Sounds Good Feels Good" berhasil memenuhi takdirnya sebagai album no.1 di Amerika, Eropa, Australia, dan juga Asia. Tapi, belum ada single yang berhasil mendapat prestasi demikian.
'Hey Everybody!' dirilis sebagai single kedua dari album tersebut. Jangan berpikir aneh kalau merasa kenal dengan lagu ini. Verse-nya dibangun dengan melodi lagu sample-nya, sebuah karya klasik Duran Duran, 'Hungry Like the Wolf', menciptakan suasana familiar saat mendengarkannya. Usaha 5SOS untuk menembus industri rekaman adalah dengan membawakan ulang lagu-lagu dari artis lain, sehingga teknik ini bukanlah hal asing bagi 5SOS. Syukurnya, bagian sampling tadi bukanlah keutamaaan lagu, karena masih ada hook yang tersedia dan menjadi spotlight untuk lagu.
Deskripsi di atas merupakan daya yang lagu ini punya sebagai upaya untuk kembali membuat gebrakan. Berhasil atau tidaknya memang tergantung respon yang diberikan para penikmat musik. Sejauh ini, 'Hey Everybody' memang belum bertaji, tapi secara keseluruhan di karir 5 SOS, lagu ini mengukuhkan posisi mereka sebagai band anak muda no.1 di dunia saat ini. Dan ini berlaku absolut!
