Ternyata Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) yang berlangung pada pekan ini di kota Los Angeles memiliki anthemnya. Berjudul 'Oops', lagunya merupakan kreasi sang superstar EDM masa kini, Martin Garrix.
Hadirnya single ini merupakan kolaborasi antara Garrix bersama YouTube untuk program event selama 12 jam mereka, "YouTube Live at E3".
"I am so honored to team up with YouTube and play a part in celebrating the future of the video game industry at E3," kata Garrix dalam pernyataanya. "Video games definitely inspired some of my music,” he added in a video that accompanied the song's release. “I love playing Mario Kart. It’s one of my favorite games -- a very simple but very fun game. I would love to team up with a video game one day to do a soundtrack."
DJ dan produser muda ini juga menjelaskan dalam video promosi acara jika lagu 'Oops' tercipta berkat semangat bermain Garrix dalam studio. "I went into the studio and had fun with chords and weird sounds," katanya. "I came up with a chord progression, chopped the vocal up, [and] put a catchy melody on top."
