Ariana Grande Dan Victoria Monét Berkolaborasi Dalam Single Amal, 'Better Days'

Menyusul proyek 'Nightmares & Lullabies', penyanyi dan penulis lagu asal Amerika, Victoria Monét, kembali menghadirkan sebuah lagu yang bertema sosial. Artis yang berada di bawah naungan Atlantic Records ini telah meluncurkan sebuah single RnB emosional berjudul 'Better Days', yang bisa didengar dan diunduh di akun Soundcloudnya.

Diproduseri oleh Flip, Victoria mengajak Ariana Grande untuk membantunya di lagu 'Better Days' ini. Tentang lagunya, Victoria mendedikasikan lagunya untuk para korban penembakan Orlando dan setiap orang yang mengalami masa sulit. Ia menyebutkan jika, "music has always helped me heal, so I’m hoping this song brings solace to some of our heavy hearts. I believe that we can not fight hate with hate. Only love! Prayers up for Better Days."

Selain itu, lagu 'Better Days' juga hadir untuk menyikapi aksi brutal kepolisian (Amerika) yang akhir-akhir ini kerap terjadi. Inilah yang menggerakkan Ariana untuk terlibat di dalamnya. "I’m heartbroken by all of the recent tragedies the came as a result of hatred, racism and injustice," tulis pernyataan Ariana. "I’m also sad at how numb some of us are to it, because it is far too common! This is not a video game or a movie you’re witnessing on your screens! This is our unfortunate REALITY! When I think about how I feel, the word confused comes to mind…So today we just want to try and help in one of the ways we know how!"

Ariana juga meminta untuk cinta dan kesatuan serta mengirimkan doa untuk para keluarga di Alton Sterling, Philando Castille, dan juga para polisi yang turut menjadi korban di Dallas, sebagaimana yang dipostingnya di akun Instagram miliknya:
