Meski performa penjualan album "E•MO•TION" tidak begitu baik saat dirilis musim panas tahun lalu, namun bukan berarti Carly Rae Jepsen berhenti berkarya. Kini ia datang dengan sebuah lagu baru, 'Super Natural', di mana ia membantu produser asal Inggris, Danny L Harle.
'Super Natural' adalah sebuah electronic pop dance yang catchy dan anthemik. Single ini merupakan susulan Danny setelah 'Broken Flowers' yang cukup menarik perhatian di awal tahun ini.
Sementara itu CRJ mengungkap jika album berikutnya kemungkinan besar akan mengusung irama disko. "I can't explain what we're doing right now, but we're very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be," jelasnya.
"But I'm very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff. It's fun to dig into oldies and see what you can celebrate about it, like a good movie or good song - to take your favourite pieces of something and add some new stuff to create something different."
