Sang hitmaker 'Havana' mengalahkan para senior-nya, seperti Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Eminem dan Drake di kategori yang pemenangnya dipilih berdasarkan voting untuk mengetahui siapa artis non-Australia yang paling beken.
Sementara itu untuk artis lokal, 5 Seconds of Summer, yang juga membuka acara yang berlangsung di Star Event Centre tersebut dengan 'Youngblood', menyabet 3 piala sekaligus, yaitu Best Live Act, Song of the Year ('Youngblood', dan Best Group.
Satu-satunya yang mengimbangi prestasi 5SOS adalah Amy Shark, yang juga membawa 3 piala, yaitu Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, dan Album of the Year.
