Berlokasi di Budweiser Gardens, London, Ontario, Kanada, pada tanggal 17 Maret kemarin dan dipandu Sarah Sarah McLachlan 2019 Juno Awards sudah mengumumkan siapa saja para pemenangnya.
Ajang penghargaan untuk insan musik Kanada ini menganugerahi Arkells dengan Group of the Year, sementara album “Shawn Mendes” milik Shawn Mendes mendapat gelar Album of the Year. Hebatnya, Shawn membawa pulang lima piala sekaligus, termasuk Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, dan Single of the Year
Shawn bukan satu-satunya musisi muda yang gemilang di Juno Awards tahun ini, karena Jessie Reyez juga membawa pulang piala, tepatnya R&B/Soul Recording berkat “Being Human In Public”.
Acara dimeriahkan dengan pertunjukkan antara lain dari Arkells, Bahamas, Jeremy Dutcher, Coeur de Pirate dan sang hots, Sarah McLachlan, yang tampil bersama duo folk-rock Whitehorse serta murid-murid dari sekolah musik Vancouver miliknya.
