Adam Lambert dan Lil Nas X merupakan dua diantara barisan musisi yang masuk dalam daftar nominasi GLAAD Media Awards ke-31 yang baru saja dimumumkan.

Para bintang ini masuk dalam daftar pendek untuk ajang penghargaan yang diadakan oleh organisasi LGBTQ ini yang diungkap di hari Rabu, 8 Januari lalu. Adam dan Lil Nas bergabung bersama para nominee lain, seperti Brittany Howard, Kevin Abstract, Kim Petras, King Princess, Melissa Etheridge, Mika, Tegan and Sara, serta rapper Young M.A.

Dalam siaran press-nya, Sarah Kate Ellis, Presiden dan CEO GLAAD, menyebutkan jika para nominee dipilih berdasarkan bagaimana mereka “memberi cahaya” tentang kehidupan komunitas LGBTQ dan menceritakan kisah-kisah yang “mengedukasi, menghibur dan memberi pengaruh positif untuk perubahan kultural.”

Penganugerahan akan dilakukan dalam dua acara, di kota New York pada tanggal 19 Maret dan di kota Los Angeles pada tanggal 16 April.
