iHeartMedia dan FOX baru saja mengumumkan daftar nominasi untuk 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, yang rencananya akan tayang secara LIVE dari The Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, di Kamis, 27 Mei mendatang. Selain tayang di FOX, acara juga akan disiarkan di jaringan radio iHeartMedia dan aplikasi iHeartRadio.
Di tahun kedelapannya ini, iHeartRadio Music Awards akan merayakan artis dan lagu yang paling sering diputar di jaringan stasiun dan app iHeartRadio, selain juga menawarkan preview untuk apa yang akan menjadi lagu hits di tahun 2021 ini.
Para artis yang menerima beberapa nominasi sekaligus di tahun ini antara lain adalah Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Maren Morris, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, dan banyak lagi. Nominasi terbanyak tahun ini diraih oleh The Weeknd dengan 8 nominasi, disusul oleh Megan Thee Stallion & Roddy Ricch (masing-masing 7 nominasi), Harry Style dengan 6 nominasi dan Justin Bieber dengan 5 nominasi.
Selain memberi anugerah kepada musik dan artis, 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards juga akan kembali merayakan para fans dengan memberikan kesempatan pada pendengar iHeartRadio kesempatan untuk menentukan siapa pemenang di beberapa kategori, baik baru dan lama, yaitu Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, the Social Star Award, Favorite Music Video Choreography Award, dan TikTok Bop of the Year Award yang pertama.
