Para pemenang BET Hip Hop Awards 2021 sudah diungkap. Dalam penganugerahan yang berlangsung di Selasa, 5 Oktober lalu di Cobb Energy Center, Atlanta, duo rapper masa kini, Cardi B dan Megan Thee Stallion, keluar sebagai pemenang terbesar setelah menyabet 3 piala sekaligus berkat single kolaboratif mereka, ‘WAP’.
Sebelumnya mereka juga sudah memimpin dengan peraihan 9 nominasi. Dan di ajang ke-19 BET Awards ini mereka mendapatkan piala untuk kategori Song of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video, selain juga Best Collaboration.
Berada di belakang Cardi dan Megan adalah Tyler, the Creator. Ia sukses menyabet piala Hip-Hop Album of the Year untuk “Call Me If You Get Lost” dan Best Live Performer. Sebagai tambahan, ia menerima pertama piala Rock the Bells Cultural Influence Award yang diserahkan oleh LL Cool J. Piala diberikan kepada artis yang dianggap melampaui batasan konvensional di kultur hip-hop.
Acara malam itu dipandu oleh Karlous Miller, D.C. Young Fly dan Chico Bean a.k.a. 85 South, dan menganugerahi Nelly dengan piala I Am Hip-Hop Award. Berikut daftar pemenang BET Hip-Hop Awards 2021:
