Di perhelatan yang berlangsung di Budweiser Stage, Toronto, dan dipandu aktor Simu Liu di tanggal 15 Mei kemarin, Juno Awards 2022 telah mengungkap siapa saja yang meraih piala di ajang anugerah dunia musik Kanada ini.
Tercatat nama-nama seperti Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo dan Charlotte Cardin sebagai pemenangnya.
Shawn mendapatkan piala International Achievement Award berkat sukses globalnya di industri musik. Dengan ini, total piala Juno Awards yang telah dikoleksi Shawn adalah 13 buah.
Sementara itu, The Weeknd meraih beberapa piala sekaligus, termasuk untuk kali ketiga memenangi kategori Songwriter of the Year, selain juga menyabet piala Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year berkat 'Breathless'.
Charlotte Cardin mendapat tiga piala sekaligus, yaitu Artist of the Year, Single of the Year ('Meaningless'), dan Pop Album of the Year berkat album debutnya, "Phoenix." Sedang sensasi pop masa kini, Olivia Rodrigo, dianugerahi dengan piala International Album of the Year berkat album hitsnya, "Sour."
