Taylor Swift kembali mendominasi MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) dengan nominasi terbanyak, yaitu 8 nominasi. Taylor mendapatkan 7 nominasi untuk ‘Anti Hero’ yaitu Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, dan Best Visual Effects. Serta dirinya akan bersaing dengan Beyonce, Doja Cat, KAROL G, Nicki Minaj, dan Shakira untuk kategori Artist of the Year.
Nominasi terbanyak selanjutnya diraih oleh SZA dengan 6 nominasi dan Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Kim Petras dan Sam Smith masing-masing dengan 5 nominasi.
