The Black Eyed Peas pastinya mencetak sukses, itu pasti! Tapi siapa nyangka kalo ternyata mereka bener2 jadi sesukses ini dengan materi single yang terdengar agak 'asing' di telinga kita, terutama telinga orang Indonesia yang sudah terbiasa dengan style BEP di era "Elephunk" dan "Monkey Business". 2 Single "Boom Boom Pow" dan "I Gotta Feeling" sudah mencetak sukses luar biasa, dan kini saatnya kita mendengarkan single ke-3 mereka "Meet Me Halfway" yang sepertinya bakal jadi penerus tahta mereka di Billboard.
Single ini bakal di release 29 Sep dengan di dahului Music Videonya yang di release tgl 25 Sep dengan sutradara Mathew Cullen dan Mark Kudsi yang membuat MV "Boom Boom Pow". Kalo sebelumnya mereka tampil futuristis, sekarang mereka lebih menonjolkan sisi artistik di Video ini, yang juga menyesuaikan single "Meet Me Halfway".
Single ini ditulis oleh Black Eyed Peas, Keith Harris, Jean Baptiste, dan Sylvia Gordon ini di produseri sendiri oleh will.i.am dan Keith Harris. Jauhkan pikiran kalo kamu bakal mendengar another Hip Hop Hits yang di persembahkan dari BEP, karena di awal lagu sudah terasa banget aura New Wave dan Synthpop yang di usungnya. Lebih tepatnya, single ini masih ada 'benang merah' dengan single sebelumnya, "I Gotta Feeling". Nuansa jadul juga terasa banget di sini, sampai2 si Fergie waktu take vocal, dia membayangkan dirinya di tahun 1985 ketika nonton konser pertama Madonna "The Virgin Tour".
Well, enough about that, yang penting sekarang enjoy single ini. Dan sekali lagi selamat buat BEP dengan album "The E.N.D" yang sudah terjual lebih dari 10ribu keping di Indonesia dan mendapat predikat Platinum!
