Perkenalkan, 2AM Club. Ini adalah nama band yang terdiri dari 6 anak muda asal Los Angeles, California. Band ini dibentuk di tahun 2007 dan aktif dari panggung ke panggung kawasan LA, hingga akhirnya demo mereka lolos ke RC Records di September 2008 lalu. Mereka terdiri dari Marc Griffin sebagai vokalis utama, Tyler Cordy sebagai MC, Matt Reagan pada gitar, Dave Dalton pada keyboard, Ian O'Neill di drum, dan Matt Warshauer di gitar bass. Tahun ini mereka berhasil merilis single pertama 'Worry About You', dari debut album "What Did You Think Was Going To Happen?".

Gambaran yang paling sederhana untuk mendeskripsikan single ini adalah gaya bermusik 311. Mereka punya pop yang dikemas apik dengan indie rock, menjadikan single ini bukti kreatif 2AM Club. Sementara kita dibuai dengan alunan musik yang sedikit reggae, kita juga disuguhi dengan rap dari sang MC. Kita bisa blown away dalam durasi 3 menit 11 detik ini.

Banyak ulasan yang mengatakan kalau lirik yang mereka gunakan untuk single ini terlalu lemah hingga tidak ada kesan istimewa yang terpancar. Tapi usaha mereka untuk mencari kata-kata yang tepat dalam ide cerita "merayu" juga enggak terlalu buruk. Coba bagian lirik ini "And if you go now//Out that doorway//I won't say you're wrong//But you know that I'll worry about you". Memang kurang matching di bagian akhir kalimat, tapi begitu ikut sing along di bagian ini, lagunya berasa enaknya.

Bagiku, kekurangan tersebut tertutupi dengan alunan musik ceria dan variatif dari mereka. Mereka punya bebunyian drum, soul bass, kibor, bahkan gendang perkusi. Masih dalam area worthy. Terdengar fresh! (Ai Hasibuan/CreativeDisc Contributor)
