Sebelum sebuah album studio, Britney Spears tampaknya melakukan pemanasan terlebih dahulu. Ia menyanyikan lagu karya Lukasz Gottwald, Joshua Coleman, Lola Blanc, Fransisca Hall, Bonnie McKee, Henry Walter, dan Jacob Kasher Hindlin untuk dijadikan soundtrack bagi film "Smurfs 2". Yaitu lagu berjudul 'Ooh La La' yang cerianya bukan main, mengajak untuk bersenang-senang dalam melodinya yang meriah.
Intro lagu lumayan menimbulkan antusiasme, disusul dengan beat yang konstan melatari verse. The spirit soars as the song hits the pre-chorus. Bagian ini adalah bagian yang paling intens. Dentumannya semakin kencang, synth-nya pun semakin liar. Dan seolah membalikkan telapak tangan, bagian chorus 'Ooh La La' justru terdengar lebih sendu. Tapi baiknya, intensitas yang memudar justru menimbulkan kedinamisan lagu.
It's a little love song. Liriknya membuat objek feel good about themselves. Di tengah-tengah lagu pun disediakan tawaran "so baby come with me and be my ooh la la". Bukan melulu tentang hubungan cowok cewek, bisa aja 'Ooh La La' diartikan sebagai BFF kan?! Jadi lebih ngena dengan tema tema kanak-kanak yang disanding oleh filmnya.
You know what? Britney menyutujui proyek soundtrack ini karena dulunya ia adalah penggemar berat Smurfs. Dan kini, anak-anaknya, Sean Preston dan Jayden James Federline juga demikian. Pantesan kedua bocah itu diboyong ke video musiknya. Melihat dua generasi penggemar Smurfs adalah sesuatu yang spesial, bukti otentik eksistensi animasi tersebut.
