Jennifer Lopez atau yang lebih dikenal dengan J.Lo akhirnya kembali ke lantai dansa dalam single terbarunya untuk album A.K.A. Booty demikian judulnya. Pada awalnya J.Lo mengajak kolaborator setianya, Pitbull untuk menemaninya. Tapi kemudian ia merilis ulang Booty dengan mengganti Pitbull dengan rapper yang tengah menanjak namanya, Iggy Azalea, serta memilih kolaborasi ini sebagai andalan utama Booty.
Dengan mengambil sampel single Dat A Freak milik Diplo & Swick, Booty adalah sebuah nomor EDM yang memasukkan elemen timur tengah agar lagunya terdengar eksotis. Namun beat yang menggoda dari Booty memang sulit untuk ditolak karena ia ditakdirkan untuk memanaskan lantai dansa. Ia terdengar ritmis dan repetitif, tapi berbalut melodi yang catchy, sehingga Booty bisa dibilang memiliki syarat untuk menjadi lagu pop yang memorable.
Dan pilihan J.Lo untuk menggantikan Pitbull dengan rapper perempuan seperti Iggy Azalea adalah cukup masuk akal. Jika Pitbull menghadirkan sudut pandang laki-laki terhadap, ahem, booty-nya J.Lo, maka Azalea justru diberi ruang untuk memuji dirinya sendiri dan membandingkan booty-nya dengan milik J.Lo yang memang sudah terkenal legendaris.
J.Lo pun cukup legowo untuk membiarkan Azalea ngerap dengan lirik semisal "The last time the world seen a booty this good, it was on Jenny from the Block". Seolah-olah J.Lo memang ingin meneruskan tahtanya kepada Azalea.
Tapi J.Lo cerdas dengan mengajak Azalea, karena namanya saat ini tengah berkibar. Tidak hanya sukses membantu Ariana Grande dengan Problems, tapi ia juga mampu menduduki tahta tangga lagu dengan hits singlenya, Fancy. Dengan bekerjasama dengan Azalea, bukan tidak mungkin J.Lo bisa mengangkat nama album A.K.A. yang seolah tenggelam.
