Released by: Warner Music IndonesiaBagi yang sudah menyaksikan film “Furious 7? pasti tahu kalau lagu 'See You Again' hadir di saat yang pas sebagai momen mengenang Paul Walker yang kini telah tiada. Saat Brian O'Conner (Walker) dan Dominic Toretto (Diesel) mengendarai mobil masing-masing dan akhirnya berpisah karena mengambil jalan yang berbeda, lagu ini menjadi pengiring adegan yang cukup menguras emosi tersebut.
'See You Again' memang terasa sangat tepat sebagai pengantar adegan yang paling berkesan dalam film tersebut, karena jelas terdengar dikerjakan dengan pakai hati alih-alih mengejar ke-catchy-an semata. Padahal lagunya memang catchy. Mengandung balada yang mengalun manis dan menggugah, sementara saat beat berderap mengambil alih, Wiz Khalifa pun melakukan tugasnya dengan memberi kelembutan pada rappingnya.
Tapi, meski Wiz Khalifa adalah nama utama dari pembawa lagu ini, tapi Charlie Puth lah yang sukses mengarahkan sisi emosi lagu yang memadukan antara hip hop dan electro-ballada ini. Puth bernyanyi dengan penuh perasaan meski sebenarnya ia hanya kebagian untuk chorus dan bridge. Tapi karena bagian dirinya cukup kerap direpetisi, (termasuk menjadi pembuka dan penutup lagu) akhirnya malah terdengar lebih mendominasi ketimbang Khalifa yang sebenarnya memiliki porsi yang jauh lebih besar.
Meski demikian, baik Khalifa dan Puth bekerjasama dengan cukup baik. Mereka memainkan peran masing-masing dengan pas. Jadi tidak mengherankan jika 'See You Again' menjadi lagu yang sangat mengesankan bagi siapa saja yang mendengarkannya.
