Meski saat ini nama Meghan Trainor sudah termasuk beken, namun ternyata ia bisa gugup juga saat bertemu dengan artis lain, apalagi harus menulis lagu bareng. Setidaknya demikian yang ia rasakan saat menulis lagu bersama Harry Styles dari One Direction.
"Performing a love song in front of Harry is terrifying, and on top of that I was a little nervous because he was one of the first celebrities I met," ungkap Trainor kepada majalah Teen Vogue. "It's a cute little number called 'Someday Maybe.' It needs a good home. Harry was super talented at writing, and his lyrics were incredible --probably my favorite lyrics in a song. I remember I wrote it at midnight the night before and sent it to my mom. I was so worried he was going to hate it."
Untungnya Styles tidak membenci lagu tersebut. Trainor juga menyebutkan jika Styles menulis lirik yang puitis dan dewasa, dan seolah-olah dia benar-benar tahu apa itu cinta.
Sementara itu, duet Trainor bersama John Legend yang berjudul 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' akan melakukan debutnya di panggung 2015 Billboard Music Awards yang akan berlangsung pada tanggal 17 Mei.
