Single berjudul “Can’t Deny My Love” didaulat menjadi lead single dalam album solo kedua dari vokalis band The Killers ini. Lagu “Can’t Deny My Love” ditulis oleh Flowers dan Darren Beckett, seorang drummer dari band The Red Romance.
Secara umum lagu ini berbeda dengan lagu-lagu Flowers di album sebelumnya. Lebih banyak sentuhan synth dalam “Can’t Deny My Love”. Meski begitu, beat dan dentuman drum serta solo gitarnya membuat kita merindukan lagu-lagu poprock era 80-an. Setelah dirilis, single ini kemudian menjadi Most Viral Track No. 1 di Spotify UK. Banyak pujian terhadap lagu ini, PopJustice bahkan menyebutnya “Haim meets Pet Shop Boys meets The Killers”.
Di tengah populernya lagu-lagu bernuansa electronic dance dan RnB, karya Brandon Flowers bisa dibilang cukup nyentrik. Tapi hal itu tidak mempengaruhi Flowers sama sekali. Ariel Rechtshaid yang menjadi produser dari lagu ini dianggap telah mewujudkan apa yang diharapkan oleh Flowers. “I'm not necessarily looking for a new audience. I'm definitely not catering to my audience either. I just love these songs. That's the most important thing. I'm not jumping on a bandwagon. Ariel was really able to bring things to the now. My sound was stuck in 1978 and he brought it into the future,” ucapnya dalam sebuah wawancara.
Musik Video untuk lagu ini pun dibuat dengan konsep yang cukup unik dan dibumbui denga cerita sihir. Terinspirasi dari cerpen lama tahun 1835 berjudul “Young Goodman Brown” karya Nathaniel Hawthorne, Brandon tampil sebagai tokoh protagonis yang meninggalkan istrinya.
