“Black Box” merupakan debut single dari pemenang Australian Idol musim ketujuh Stan Walker. Vokal R&B milik Walker sangat kuat dalam menyanyikan single “Black Box” yang dirilis pada 22 November 2009. Single yang hanya mampu menembus posisi 2 pada Australian Singles Chart ini menceritakan mengenai suatu hubungan yang telah berakhir namun meskipun telah selesai semua memori yang pernah terjadi terekam dalam sebuah ingatan yang dikhiaskan sebagai kotak hitam. Lucas Secon, Wayne Hector, Jonas Jeberg dan Mich “Cutfather” Hansen merupakan para penulis single ini, tak heran “Black Box” mampu meraih posisi puncak pada New Zealand Singles Chart.
Menurut saya vokal yang dimiliki Walker mengingatkan dengan Guy Sebastian yang merupakan pemenang Australian Idol musim pertama, vokal yang sangat cocok dengan jenis aliran pop, R&B, gospel dan soul. Single ini merupakan lead single yang ada pada debut album “Introducing… Stan Walker” yang dirilis 11 Desember 2009 lalu oleh Sony BMG Australia, semoga saja album ini akan dirilis di negara kita Indonesia ini.
