This is The Finale! Ada sedikit kesamaan dari 2 finalis ini, sama2 berusia 24 tahun dan juga dari audisi kota Chicago! Tahun ini, untuk pertama kalinya di Idol, tidak akan ada WINNER Song! eewwwwww, karena lagu kemenangan merupakan lagu re-cycle yang dipilih oleh para finalis masing2. Hmmm...
So, gimana penampilan 'puncak' mereka malam ini? Dan juga disini terakhir kalinya Simon Cowell tampil untuk memberi kritikan pedas maupun pujian tulusnya kepada para kontestan! So, here we go...
Round 1: The Contestant’s Favorite Song
1. Lee DeWyze “The Boxer” Paul Simon
(R) A great way to start off this night. This will come down to a duel to the finish. You sounded nice but pick it up.
(E) I couldn’t be prouder if I birthed you myself.
(K) You got to punch harder. It was believable. You were connected to it.
(S) This is the big one. I would expect a lot more passion and excitement. That was a kiss on the cheek when I want a kiss on the lips.
CD: Penampilannya cukup bagus, keliatan masih belum 'panas' untuk performance pertama. (7/10)
2. Crystal Bowersox “Me and Bobby McGee” Roger Miller / Janis Joplin
(R) It started a little slow but at the end it was the Crystal we have grown to love. It was dope.
(E) I think you are so compelling on stage. Stunning.
(K) I loved it when you first did it and I loved it tonight. You have fire in your belly tonight.
(S) This is you back on your best. We have a competition tonight.
CD: Wow! Crystal bawain lagu ini lebih bagus ketimbang dulu... Round 1 goes to Crystal! (8/10)
Round 2: Simon Fuller’s Choice
3. Lee DeWyze - “Everybody Hurts” R.E.M
(R) That was better. It started off pitchy but you pulled it together. It was a lot better.
(E) I felt like you went off a few times but it is about the performance. You got into a couple of times but then you pulled back.
(K) Your emotionally accessible. It wasn’t a perfect vocal.
(S) Brilliant choice of song. You went off melody in parts. I want a 10/10 for your last performance.
CD: Better than the first one! Tapi sepertinya Lee mesti memberikan penampilan yang bisa membuat orang terpaku! (8/10)
4. Crystal Bowersox - “Black Velvet” Allanah Myles
(R) This is what I fell in love with from day 1. That was hot.
(E) That was fantastic.
(K) Tonight is the night to give it your all. You want it, you can tell. Thats what tonight is all about.
(S) I am almost allergic to that song but you took that song and you absolutely nailed it.
CD: Agak aneh melihat Crystal tanpa gitarnya, bisa jadi itu yang bikin lagu ini agak susah untuk dinikmatin. (7/10)
5. Lee DeWyze “Beautiful Day” U2
(R) Started off interesting but by the middle of the song you got your groove back.
(E) You were fully present for that song. I am so proud of you. You did a great job.
(K) You got swallowed up in that song. You had some good moments and some not so good moments but you deserve to be here tonight.
(S) You made the most of it. You made a lot more effort. This is what this competition was designed for. You have worked hard and I wish the best to you.
CD: Pilihan yang bagus untuk lagu kemenangan, tapi sepertinya pujian yang diberikan para juri agak sedikit 'mengambang' (8/10)
6. Crystal Bowersox “Up to the Mountain” Patty Griffin
(R) This is what this show is about. An amazing song by an amazing singer.
(E) You are in a league of your own. You have a beautiful voice. You are so so good.
(K) Tonight you were emotionally vested in the song. You really blossomed with that song. Amazing.
(S) That was by far the best performance and the song of the night. That was outstanding.
CD: She nailed it! Keren abis! Crystal Mamasox bisa bawain lagu ini (walau gak tahu lagu aslinya) dengan sangat bagus! Hampir sempurna! (9/10)
Pilihan CD untuk menang, sebenarnya agak sulit karena malam ini Crystal Bowersox tampil sangat bagus! Terutama penampilan ke-3nya, so personally saya suka dengan Lee DeWyze, tapi melihat pujian para juri dan penampilan Final ini sepertinya Crystal Bowersox yang menang!
Jangan lupa saksikan Live Result Show besok di Starworld pukul 07.00 WIB selama 2 jam. Yang sudah dipastikan tampil adalah Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen dan Enrique Iglesias, dan menurut rumor yang beredar Paula Abdul, Michael Johns, Elliot Yamin, juga bakal tampil...

The Result Show:
Acara 2 jam Result Show ini bisa jadi juga acara Simon Cowell Farewell Party karena begitu seringnya footage Simon dan juga Paula Abdul yang tidak sempat say goodbye season lalu.
The Worst Part Result Show adalah tampilnya Dean Cook bareng kontestan2 Idol yang parah, ancur dan gak masuk. Lebih parah lagi ketika Larry Platt bawain "Pants on The Ground" bareng William Hung! oh no! dan juga beberap Group singing para finalis AI 9 ini yang sangat tidak kompak dan tidak terhamonisasi dengan baik.
The Best Part Result Show adalah tampilnya Alanis Morissette duet dengan Crystal, Christina Aguilera bawain lagu baru (yang untungnya) bukan "Not Myself Tonight" tapi "You Lost Me" yg ditulis oleh Sia Furler. Begitu juga tampilnya para Alumni Idol dari semua season, dan kolaborasi bareng para Idol Winners (minus David Cook yang sedang ada acara amal). Puncaknya ditutup oleh Janet yang tampil dengan 2 lagu.
So that's it! Pemenangnya adalah Lee DeWyze! Dia bawain lagu kemenangan Beautiful Day (U2)! Kita lihat saja minggu depan apakah single ini bisa debut #1 di Billboard ?
