iHeartMedia dan Turner telah mengumumkan para nominee untuk iHeartRadio Music Awards 2018. Dan dari daftar ini diketahui ada beberapa artis yang sukses mendapatkan beberapa nominasi sekaligus atau tepatnya 5 nominasi. Mereka adalah Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled dan Luis Fonsi.
Kelima artis ini akan berkompetisi memperebutkan gelar Song of the Year. Sebagai tambahan, Bruno dan Ed akan bersaing dalam membawa pulang piala Male Artist of the Year bersama dengan Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes dan The Weeknd. Di sisi lain, Rihanna akan berhadapan dengan Taylor Swift, Pink dan Halsey di kategori Female Artist of the Year.
Tahun ini iHeartRadio Music Awards memperkenalkan empat kategori baru, yaitu Best Solo Breakout, Best Remix, Best Boy Band dan Cutest Musician's Pet. Untuk kategori Best Boy Band, tentu tidak usah heran jika boyband Korea Selatan, BTS menjadi nomineenya, bersaing dengan CNCO, The Vamps dan Why Don't We. Sementara itu, BTS dan rekan senegaranya, EXO, akan saling bersaing untuk mendapatkan piala Best Fan Army.
Tiket untuk iHeartRadio Music Awards akan dijual mulai Jumat, 12 Januari. Para pemenang akan diumumkan di acara iHeartRadio Music Awards kelima yang akan berlangsung di The Forum, Los Angeles, pada tanggal 11 Maret.
