MTV Video Music Awards 2019 baru saja mengungkap siapa saja yang berhasil membawa pulang pialanya. Berlangsung di Prudential Center, New Jersey, Senin, 26 Agustus, ternyata Ariana Grande dan Billie Eilish mendominasi daftar pemenangnya. Masing-masing sukses menyabet 3 piala Moon Person.
Satu dari 3 piala yang didapat Ari, salah satunya merupakan yang paling prestisius, yaitu Artist of the Year, selain Song of the Summer berkat kolaborasi bersama Social House, 'Boyfriend', selain Best Art Direction untuk video mega hit '7 Rings'. Sementara itu Billie menyabet PUSH Artist of the Year, Best New Artist dan Best Editing untuk 'Bad Guy'.
Musisi lain yang membawa lebih dari satu piala adalah Taylor Swift dan BTS. 'You Need to Calm Down' milik Taylor meraih piala Video of the Year dan Video for Good. Sedang BTS meraih Best K-Pop berkat kolaborasi bersama Halsey dalam 'Boy with Luv', selain Best Group.
