Duo pengusung pop-electronic yang ikonik, Daft Punk, berniat untuk merayakan 25 tahun usia album debut mereka, “Homework.” Untuk itu mereka akan merilis sebuah edisi deluxe spesial untuk albumnnya.
Album perayaan 25 tahun ini akan menampilkan beberapa track remix baru, dengan 9 di antaranya belum pernah tersedia di platform streaming atau layanan digital lain. Daft Punk akan menyertakan remix ‘Around The World’ oleh DJ Sneak, Todd Terry dan Kenlou, selain remix untuk ‘Revolution 909’, ‘Burnin’ dan ‘Teachers’.
Daft Punk juga menghadirkan sebuah livestream melalui Twitch untuk konser di tahun 1997 di mana mereka bisa terlihat tanpa helm yang menjadi ciri khas selama ini. Livestream ini hanya bisa ditonton sekali saja dan diluncurkan tepat dengan perilisan edisi deluxe “Homework” pada tanggal 22 Februari lalu.
Total ada 31 track dalam album “Homework (25th Anniversary Edition)”. Edisi orisinal “Homework” sendiri dirilis di tanggal 20 Januari 1997 dan terdiri atas 16 track dan menyajikan single-single seperti, ‘Da Funk’ dan ‘Around the World’. Album terakhir yang dirilis Daft Punk adalah “Random Access Memories” (2013).
