Sebelumnya, Ella diformulasikan sebagai perpaduan antara Adele dan Leona Lewis. Dan itu tak berhenti sampai disana. Karena tarikan-tarikan vokal yang ia lakukan dalam 'Glow' malah mengerumuninya dengan penyandingan kepada vokal Jordin Sparks. Ada sedikit kualitas R&B di dalam single ini yang melebur sempurna ke dalam kesatuan dramatisasi pop yang utuh. Memunculkan nuansa yang kelam dan mistis.
Takjub dibuat 'Glow' yang ternyata bukan cetakan pop standar Steve Mac yang... pop. Well, kalau kalian familiar dengan karyanya semisal 'Glad You Came' ataupun 'Swear It Again', maka dengan mudah menemukan tipikal pop dimaksud. This time around, Steve takes his music to a new high. Lebih berat, lebih dalam, beda dari yang sebelumnya. Apakah Steve mengengaja perilaku ini untuk Ella?
But let me break it to you. Sebagai vokalis, Ella Henderson termasuk yang handal. Ia bisa menembus nada-nada dasar yang rendah dan juga mampu menjangkau nada-nada tinggi dengan vokal contralto dan tone yang berat. Dalam kata lain, orang tidak menyesuaikan diri dengannya, tapi ia yang punya daya adaptasi tinggi terhadap apapun yang dihadapkan kepadanya. That's what makes her glow.
